Hon.-Prof. Dr. Frank Scholwin
Since 2008 Frank Scholwin is honorary professor for Biogas/Bioenergy at Rostock University. His scientific work focusses on all topics related to biogas production and utilisation. With his experiences from this work he contributes to teaching the students in Crop Production and Enviromnent, Animal Sciences and Environmental Engineering Sciences. Organisatorical he is connected to he chair for Waste and Resource management.

Professor Scholwin studied environmental engineering at Rostock University 1993-1999. He obtained his doctorate in biological waste treatment at Bauhaus University in Weimar. Between 2003 and 2010 he conducted and coordinated biogas research and consulting activities at the German center for bioenergy research (Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum gGmbH). In 2011 and 2012 he was that organisation's Scientific Director. In 2012 he founded his own Institute for Biogas, Waste Management & Energy.
