Baltic TRANSCOAST

follows a comprehensive and innovative qualification plan to early stage researchers together with an excellent education in marine and terrestrial sciences. The PhD students will gain interdisciplinary expertise in coastal research.

Baltic TRANSCOAST

investigates the hydrodynamic, (bio)geochemical and biological processes at the interface between land and sea. A fundamental understanding of exchange processes along coastlines is essential for developing sustainable management strategies.

Baltic TRANSCOAST

studies the water,matter fluxes, and biota within and between a coastal peatland and the adjacent shallow Baltic Sea. In Rostock three faculties of the University collaborate closely with the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde.
