On the occasion of the annual field day "Paludikultur", organized by the Greifswald Moor Center and the State Research Institute for Agriculture and Fisheries MV, Dr. Till Backhaus, Minister of the Environment of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Jochen Flasbarth, State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for the Environment, and Dr. Arif Havas Oegroseno, Indonesian Ambassador to Germany, about the local peatland research on a 10-hectare test area near Neukalen (LK Mecklenburg Lake District)." Members of the working group of Landscape Ecology and Site Evaluation were actively involved in the paludiculture day together with researchers from the University of Greifswald and the Greifswald Moor Center. Dr. Gerald Jurasinski presented research results and measuring instruments for the determination of greenhouse gas emissions in the context of wet peatland management by paludiculture. He was supported in the demonstration of the portable UGGA (Ultraportable Greenhouse Gas Analyzer) by Joachim Hofmann and this year's volunteers in the FÖJ.
