Interdisciplinary Lecture Series "AgriCoast - Sustainable Resource Use in Coastal Agricultural Landscapes"

The Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Rostock unites diverse disciplines from the natural sciences, economics and engineering under its roof. Thus, trained biologists, agronomists, geo-informaticians, civil engineers, water economists, veterinarians and also an architect, among others, research and teach at the faculty.
The professorships of the faculty are dedicated to research in a wide range of projects, especially the sustainable use of resources in rural areas and on the coasts of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. This ranges, among other things, from the collaborative development of communal waters (project "PROSPER-RO"), the sustainable management of phosphorus in the soil (project "InnoSoilPhos") and resource-efficient food production (project "Fischglashaus") to dealing with open geodata (project "OpenGeoEdu").
As part of the interdisciplinary lecture series "AgriCcoast - Sustainable Resource Use in Coastal Agricultural Landscapes", the latest results and aspects from the ongoing projects but also current topics that fit the general theme will be presented.
