The Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences is one of nine faculties at the University of Rostock.
The comparatively small and manageable faculty with its almost 20 professorships and a favourable supervision ratio creates a personal atmosphere and ensures that the standard period of study is adhered to in the Bachelor's and Master's programmes offered.
You can learn more about the history of the faculty under History.

AUF returns to presence teaching in upcoming winter semester
"Teaching for the upcoming winter semester 2021/2022 will be scheduled using face-to-face teaching. This will affect courses and exams starting October 1, 2021."
This determination of the Rectorate of our University will be comprehensively implemented by the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. All courses in our degree programs will finally be scheduled in presence again. We are looking forward to welcoming students in person in our lecture halls and seminar rooms, because this will once again enable discourse between lecturers and students, but also among students, in a form that is appropriate for a face-to-face university.
In this context, we would like to point out that the University of Rostock is currently setting up a comprehensive vaccination program for all students with the support of the Faculty of Medicine. Interested parties can find out more about this in the service portal or the student portal. Vaccination is an important prerequisite for being able to conduct classroom teaching in the winter semester 2021/22 on the basis of herd immunity, i.e. with a reasonable residual risk.
The currently valid regulations for the summer semester 2021 will remain in place until its end.
