Admission requirements for studies

B. Sc. Agricultural Sciences

According to §2 of the Programme-Specific Examination and Study Regulations (SPSO), the admission to the Bachelor's Programme in Agricultural Sciences is subject to the following additional admission requirements:

  • Applicants whose native language is not German must provide proof of German language proficiency (B2).

  • Applicants must complete a twelve-week internship in a field relevant to the course of study before starting their studies.

In the internship the prospective students acquire first experiences, skills and abilities from the land management and the work fields connected with it.

In exceptional cases, admission may be granted subject to the condition that up to six weeks of the internship must be completed during the course of study. The internship must have been completed in full by the time the Bachelor's thesis is registered.

B. Sc. Environmental Engineering Sciences

According to §2 of the Programme-Specific Examination and Study Regulations (SPSO), the admission to the Bachelor's Programme in Environmental Engineering Sciences is subject to the following additional admission requirements:

  • Applicants whose native language is not German must provide proof of German language proficiency (B2).

  • Applicants must complete a four-week internship in a field relevant to the course of study (pre-study internship) before commencing their studies.

The pre-study internship is intended to give prospective students a first practical insight into the field of activity of an environmental engineer and can be completed in the areas of supply and disposal, civil engineering and environmental geotechnics, hydraulic engineering and water management, geoinformation systems, environmental planning and development of rural areas or energy management.

Detailed information on the preliminary internship can be found in theinternship regulations for the Bachelor's and Master's programmes in Environmental Engineering Sciences as well as in the program-specific examination and study regulations (SPSO). The pre-study internship must be demonstrated by a confirmation letter from the company. Please use the following internship certificate.

In exceptional cases (e.g. when changing degree programmes), admission may be granted subject to the condition that the internship must be completed by the end of the first academic year at the latest. Please use the following application for provisional admission.
