Professorship Agronomy

The Professorship of Agronomy is headed by Prof. Dr. Ralf Uptmoor. Research focuses on topics related to sustainable crop production. This includes breeding-relevant issues of abiotic stress tolerance and QTL-based modelling as well as applied research topics such as the development of alternative cropping systems for energy crops and sustainable fertiliser strategies as well as nutrient recycling in crop production. The research group is involved in the Bioenergy profile element and the Maritime Systems profile line at the University of Rostock.
