Research:

The team of the chair for Structural Analysis and Structural Dynamics develops methods for the identification and realistic description of the structural behaviour of engineering structures. In this context, particularly attention is given to dynamic methods. Current research activities concentrate on the following key topics:

  • Identification and assessment of structural condition

  • Modal analysis

  • System identification

  • Structural health monitoring

  • Damage identification and prognosis

The research activities include both numerical and experimental work  while also considering the different uncertainties.
