P-Campus
The ScienceCampus Phosphorus Research Rostock (P-Campus) network has been in existence since 2014. 100 scientists from the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde (IOW), the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK), the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis (LIKAT), the Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology (INP), the Research Institute of Farm Animal Biology (FBN) and the University of Rostock are conducting interdisciplinary research on the element phosphorus.
The aims and concepts of the P-Campus can be found on the P-Campus website and as video here.
As part of the Leibniz Association's funding of the P-Campus from 2015 to 2024, the idea was born to compile various standard operating procedures, laboratory instructions, method descriptions and experiences on P analysis from the various working groups at the P-Campus.
This idea was further developed in the seed project ‘Evaluation of phosphorus digestions of natural materials’ (EvaPhon) and implemented as a ‘Handbook on the Selection of Methods for Digestion and Determination of Total Phosphorus in Environmental Samples’ (P Manual).
