Master Crop Production and Environment (expiring)

In the course of the restructuring of studies and teaching at the University of Rostock, it was decided to discontinue the degree programme in the winter semester 2023/2024. New enrolments for the first semester will no longer be made for this degree programme.

Subject to the available study place capacities and upon conclusion of a training agreement, enrolments in higher subject semesters can still take place with recognition of previously completed examination and study achievements, insofar as they do not jeopardise the timely cancellation of the study programme according to paragraph 3.

The currently enrolled students shall be guaranteed a range of studies and examinations in accordance with the study and examination regulations applicable to them, which will enable them to continue their studies in the degree programme Plant Production and Environment until the end of the winter semester 2025/2026.

Interested students can enrol in the Master's degree programme "Sustainable Agricultural Systems" from the winter semester 2023/2024.

At the end of their studies, the students are able to work in different fields of activity dealing directly or indirectly with crop production. That includes scientific, administrative and entrepreneurial activities, also in leading positions. Our students may work in the production, development, marketing, evaluation, certification, etc. of plant-based products intended for e.g. seeding, fodder, food, bioenergy or construction materials. Further, they can work in administrations or for lobby groups and elaborate strategies for sustainable land use and agriculture on a (trans-)regional, national or even international level.
