Prof. Dr. Nicole Wrage-Mönnig
I studied Biology and worked on my dissertation in the field of soil quality. I habilitated on the topic "Effects of phytodiversity on resource use, product quantity and quality of agr icultural grasslands" at the University of Göttingen. The red thread running through my development is the search of improvements for sustainability of grassland production. At first, I focussed on nutrient losses (particular nitrous oxide) and fertilization. Since 2005, I dealed with functions of plant diversity for water and nutrient use, and by this, also for productivity and resistance of grassland systems.
