Teaching

The teaching activities of the professorship aim at providing the necessary skills for assessing technical concepts from a systems analysis perspective. For this purpose, it is first aimed at a common understanding of the most relevant tools for analyzing technical processes in environmental engineering, i.e. to acquire the basic skills for representing industrial processes in a standardized process flowsheet, as well as the methods to characterize the studied processes in terms of their mass and energy balances. And secondly, it is aimed at providing the skills for evaluating these technical concepts from a life cycle perspective, using a toolbox of standard and innovative life cycle assessment (LCA) methods.

The professorship participates in the following lectures.

    Bachelor Environmental Engineering

    • Introduction to renewable energies (invited lectures)
    • Introduction to environmental engineering (invited lectures)

    Master Environmental Engineering

    • Bioenergy (invited lectures)
    • Environmental protection in the industry
