The compulsory elective modules planned for the 6th semester enable students to structure their studies according to their individual interests and abilities and to prepare specifically for one of the Master's degree programmes or entry into professional practice. It is possible to freely select and combine the modules. Students can also choose a module from the compulsory elective area of the Master's degree programme in Environmental Engineering in order to harmonise the transition between the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes.
Compulsory elective modules totalling 18 credit points must be taken. As a rule, students must decide on the compulsory elective modules by the end of the fourth semester and register at the faculty's study office.
Of course, students are also free to attend additional courses at the University of Rostock and have these recognised and/or credited to their Bachelor's certificate. With its broad range of subjects, the University of Rostock offers numerous interesting opportunities for this.
